Christie's Names Head of Its Asian Operations

Christie's International has appointed the chief operating officer of Christie's Americas and director of operations for Christie's International, Andrew Foster, to the newly created role of president, Asia. Mr. Foster is charged with managing the development and growth of Christie's programs in Asia and strengthening relationships with top clients in that region. He also has direct responsibility for the auction house's Asian offices.

Mr. Foster, who joined Christie's in 1999, adds the new job to his current responsibilities. The position reflects a company-wide initiative to increase activity in Asia.
