By Staff Reporter of the Sun | May 8, 2008

"Notes from North Korea," a one-hour CNN documentary about the New York Philharmonic's 48-hour visit to Pyongyang, North Korea, will have its premiere this Saturday at 8 p.m.

Hosted by CNN international correspondent Christiane Amanpour, the documentary follows the New York Philharmonic in the first performance by an American orchestra in the hermit kingdom, a culture exchange hailed as a peacemaking breakthrough.

The documentary will feature excerpts from the orchestra's concert, as well as interviews with musicians and officials, such as the New York Philharmonic President and Executive Director Zarin Mehta.
