New Victory Wins Arts Education Award

The New Victory Theater, New York's only full-time professional theater dedicated solely to children, will receive the Americans for the Arts's second annual Arts Education Award, Americans for the Arts announced Thursday.

The New Victory Theater reaches more than 30,000 students a year by allowing schools and after-school programs access to the theater's performances for as little as $2 a ticket, and sponsors pre- and post-performance workshops for the visiting groups.
