So, yesterday Judith Giuliani made it known that Rudy Giuliani isn't her second husband, he's her third.
"Something I will share with you is that, since I haven't done [many] interviews ... Rudy and I have both been married three times," Mrs. Giuliani told the New York Post yesterday.
The question that immediately jumps to the minds of political analysts is: Will this hurt Mr. Giuliani?
His opponents certainly hope it will...
However, while I've written before about Mrs. Giuliani as a potential liability, I don't see how this latest disclosure could do much damage.
Republican primary voters know the mayor's personal life is a mess. Given the magnitude of what people already know, this doesn't even constitute a drop in the bucket. And they've gotten it out of the way early.
My favorite quote from Mrs. Giuliani, however, is this: "Rudy and I believe very strongly in the institution of marriage." Of course they do. They'd have to, with five marriages between them!
