The Florida House has passed a bill moving the state's primary up to January 29, 2008, ahead of the South Carolina Republican primary (currently scheduled for February 2, 2008). Previously, Florida was expected to hold its primary along with California and New York and New Jersey — on Super Duper Tuesday — on February 5, 2008.

This is very good news for one candidate in particular on the Republican side: Rudy Giuliani, who leads in Florida's primary polls by a margin of more than 20%.
