How good/bad an idea is it for Fred Thompson to tap a tobacco spokesman to run his campaign. From the Washington Post's The Fix blog:
Tom Collamore, who is currently the vice president of public affairs at Altria, has been leading the behind-the scenes organization efforts for a Thompson presidential candidacy and will be intimately involved when (not if) the former Senator decides to announce a bid.
Good idea for the primary, maybe ("Yeah, we like tobacco, what of it?"). Bad idea for the general ("Fred Thompson hates children and wants them to die of juvenile lung cancer.").
