No, not Barack Obama's fondest dream. Withdrawal from Iraq.
While Hillary Clinton won't apologize to Democratic primary voters for her vote authorizing the war in Iraq, she is trying to send signals that withdrawal from Iraq will be at the top of her agenda if elected.
This may not put her quite on par with John Edwards or Bill Richardson with anti-war voters, it seems the right way to play things to stay on top in the primary. And by couching everything as "contingencies," it may even be the right play for the general.
