Marist: Giuliani Flying High

According to the latest Marist poll, Rudy Giuliani is leading the Republican pack with 28% of the vote — 10 points ahead of John McCain, who's at 18%. Fred Thompson comes in third with 13% of the vote. And Newt Gingrich just beats out Mitt Romney for fourth place, 8% to 7%.
Mr. Giuliani's number is unchanged since February, despite the drubbing he took in the press in March and April over social issues. Mr. McCain has slipped 3 points since February and 5 points since December of 2006. Mr. Romney has slipped 3 points since February.
