Quinnipiac has a new poll out of Pennsylvania today. The results, in brief, for the GOP primary field — with comparisons to how each candidate was doing in April:

Giuliani 28% (down 1 point from 29%)
McCain: 11% (down 6 points from 17%)
Thompson: 10% (up 4 points from 6%)
Romney: 9% (up 4 points from 5%)

The poll also tells us that Al Gore would do best against Rudy Giuliani in the general election. In fact, Mr. Gore is the only Democrat who would beat Mr. Giuliani, and that only by 45%-44%.

On the Democratic side, Mr. Gore is in second place, despite the hard-to-miss fact that he is not running:

Clinton: 33%
Gore: 16%
Obama: 13%
Edwards: 11%
