The Club for Growth released its fourth white paper on the Republican Presidential field. Up at bat: Rudy Giuliani. (Previously, they've done: John McCain, Mike Huckabee, and Sam Brownback.)
I haven't had the chance to pick this apart yet, but I can say right off the bat that this is a real soft-soap on the fiscal picture. They go pretty easy on Mr. Giuliani's second-term spending binge and corporate pork.
Does this represent an unofficial CFG endorsement of Mr. Giuliani? Given that Mitt Romney is the only major candidate left (unless Fred Thompson joins in), and I'm relatively sure he won't get a terribly favorable review, I'm going to answer this soft-soap with a soft yes.
