Next Monday, the 14th, Hillary Clinton will pick up a bunch of hometown endorsements on the steps of the state capitol.
Among them: Governor Spitzer, Lt. Governor David Paterson, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, and Senate Minority Leader Malcolm Smith. The event won't include all New York elected leaders supporting Mrs. Clinton (logistics being an impediment). And it also won't represent Mrs. Clinton's final locking-down of the New York delegation.
In the New York state congressional delegation, every Democrat, including the African American representatives, has endorsed Mrs. Clinton — with one exception: Yvette Clarke. (The Sun had the story a while back.)
Ms. Clarke and Mrs. Clinton are reported to have met recently. But there's still no word whether she's joining Team Hillary.
