According to the Politico, Fred Thompson acknowledges that his Friday night speech in California was lackluster, and now he's preparing a Stump Speech 2.0.
Apparently, the speech — heavier on "values," God help us all — will get a test drive this Saturday, when Mr. Thompson is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a dinner of the Council for National Policy, a somewhat secretive and very far-right conservative group.
Reportedly, Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, a noted Rudy hater and Evangelical leader, will introduce Mr. Thompson.
