Brownback to Make Iowa Announcement (Drop Out?)

Sam Brownback has put out the following release:
U.S. Senator Sam Brownback will hold a press conference at noon on Friday at the Brownback for President Iowa Headquarters to announce his intentions for the Ames, Iowa Straw Poll.
Given that Mr. Brownback has been showing up very poorly in Iowa polls (3% in this May ARG poll), it's hard to believe this announcement will be that he's staying in the straw poll.
Of course, the Brownback campaign is simply doomed no matter what. But if Mitt Romney's practically competing alone ... that really takes the air out of things.
