From National Review, which is having its National Review cruise right now:
Informal NR Cruise 2008 Straw Poll [Rich Lowry] A very informal show of hands of a couple of hundred NR cruisers had Rudy in the lead pretty solidly, then Romney and Thompson close together, but with Mitt in second. I don't think McCain got one hand raised.
It tells you a little something about why John McCain is where he is, doesn't it? I think it also sheds a little light on the "Rudy's Can't Possibly Win, That's Just Crazy Talk" narrative. Movement conservatives very possibly could swing behind Rudy; and Fred and Mitt are battling it out to be the other guy in the "Rudy v. Mr. X" primary that's been shaping up for a while now. [I give the edge to Fred based on Mitt's flip-flop problems (not to mention the Mormon problem in the South).]
