Well, OK, I'm still in Chicago, waiting for an early flight ... but here's one headline from this morning: Iowa's governor insists the state's caucuses will remain in January of 2008, not slide to December 2007 to keep up with changes in South Carolina and potentially New Hampshire.
According to the AP: "In this state, we're going to still have Christmas," the Democratic governor said at a news conference. "We're very firm in the fact that we're going to have the caucuses in January. To go into 2007 makes no sense at all."
Iowa and New Hampshire can coordinate to make that happen. But someone's going to end up voting on a Saturday instead of a Tuesday.
