Having given it a bit more thought, I think Byron York is right. I should have been clear that Sam Brownback was quoting what Mother Teresa said to him when he said at the Iowa Straw Poll, "All for Jesus. All for Jesus. All for Jesus. All for Jesus."

I always strive to give readers the clearest picture possible of events I cover, and I failed to do that here. I apologize for the sloppy writing and have corrected the sentence in the online article.

And, also, to clarify my defense of the sentence earlier, I certainly wasn't saying that I opt for my own interpretation of events over accurately describing them. I simply made the judgment while writing the column — incorrectly, I now believe — that there was no difference between including the fact that it was a quote or not.
