Maine, Guam in Bitter Solar Dispute

The Democratic Convention delegations from Maine and Guam may see eye to eye about Senator Obama, but they disagree about something as basic as where the sun comes up first in the morning.

Guam's delegation, when offering their vote, repeated their slogan billing Guam as "where America's day begins."

But the Down Easters insisted that the Sun rises for the first time "in the nation" each day over Maine's coastline.

Go figure.
