The Art Week weekend was full of parties, and while they didn't have the Art Basel Miami Beach advantage of warm weather and beachfront locales, they did offer chic, cosmpolitan chatter and fun.
Today's column looks at the party at the Four Seasons restaurant in anticipation of the opening of Philip Johnson's Glass House and the one at the Guggenheim for Marina Abramovic.
Here's the text of the column. Pictures will be up tonight.
Moving forward, tonight I'm looking forward to the Dining by Design gala dinner to benefit Diffa, at the Waterfront building, and a gala for the Partnership for Children. Tomorrow Isaac Mizrahi is delivering a purim shpliel to Jewish Museum patrons at the Waldorf while the Lincoln Center Institute celebrates its arts education programs at the Rainbow Room. Wednesday is a book party at the Museum of Jewish Heritage for "Lots of Lehmans," and Thursday is the Hunt Ball for the Young Fellows of the Frick Collection (I'll have a preview of the dresses Angel Sanchez has designed for the ball's chairwomen in Thursday's paper, and I'd love to hear in advance about any creative hunting attire you've dreamed up).
