So What's the Verdict?

A major New York art collector who has been to all past five editions of the Art Basel Miami Beach says this year's fair is the best edition yet. Why? Because unlike in past years, when prices were ridiculously high ("for suckers" were his exact words last year), THIS year the dealers are presenting art at reasonable prices, and art that is high quality too. People are jittery about the market, he says, so they're behaving better. The result: collectors are more than happy to adjust.
