"Art heels and it gives people hope," said art dealer Mary Boone at the Publicolor benefit last night. And that about sums up the spirit of the event, which featured a good hour of painting "Yes We Can" themed murals, followed by a dinner in the high school gym. Instead of throwing a 30th anniversary party for her business, Ms. Boone gave a percentage of proceeds from her sales last year to Publicolor, and funded art projects in 30 public schools (she declined to say how much the donation totaled).
