The benefit of getting involved in a small arts group (as compared to the mighty esteemed museums around town) is the intimacy of the whole enterprise. The Drawing Center is that kind of place.
"We welcomed 270 people to the event, which raised $375,000 before expenses," reports Drawing Center spokeswoman Emily Gaynor of its gala on Wednesday. The event began at the downtown art space with a preview of an exhibit of drawings by Unica Zürn and ended with dinner at Tribeca Rooftop.
