The ties between New York and Washington D.C. are tighter these days, and we’re not just talking Tarp. At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, New Yorkers asserted their social prominence in the nation's capital, not just because they were hosting the best after parties, but because of their style, their diverse talents, and their comfort hobnobbing with the politicos. President Obama even teased Mayor Bloomberg in his dinner remarks, which we’ll take as a sign of affection: “In the next 100 days,” President Obama said, “I will meet with a leader who rules over millions with an iron fist, who owns the airwaves and uses his power to crush all who would challenge his authority at the ballot box. It’s good to see you, Mayor Bloomberg.”
There were dozens and dozens of New Yorkers on the scene, but here’s our list of the top 10 New Yorkers in Washington D.C. Saturday night. You can represent us and be teased by the President anytime.
