Kosher Slaughterhouse Recalls Hot Dogs

By Associated Press | January 24, 2007

DES MOINES, Iowa — The world's largest kosher slaughterhouse is recalling about 2,700 pounds of potentially underprocessed frankfurters shipped to New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, federal officials said yesterday.

It was a Class I recall — the highest classification given to consumer recalls, meaning there is reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death, although no illnesses have been reported.
