I find it amazing that the NYPD continues to discriminate against Latino and African Americans police officers. The city settled this case in 2004, The LOA vs City, for $26.8 million dollars why haven't they learned their lesson yet? What changes have they really implemented since the lawsuit was settled ? Why haven't the defendants been held responsible ? They should be paying the plaintiffs for damages and have their pensions garnished. They should have been fired !! No one in NYPD is ever held responsible for these title VII violations ( EEO Violations). Why doesn't corporation counsel go after the department brass? I wonder ? The NYPD was given direct orders by a Federal Judge to cease all discrimination and and to comply with all court orders. They have yet to comply with anything? They are clearly above the law and an outside federal monitor should be implemented immediately. All NLOA Plaintiffs along with all Latino and African Americans Police officers should step forward and seek damages for ongoing discrimination.
