The war has to be short and brutal before the left demoralizes the effort. The public should be informed that they will be called upon to endure hardships of an economic nature. The President has to be willing to use lethal force that may include 100,000s of dead Iranian soldiers – we have conventional weapons that can neutralize a coming Army. And finally, the initial reaction of Iranians will be to rally behind the regime before they become disillusioned. No illusions should be given as to their ability to remove the current regime.

All this will take an articulate and extensive exposition from the President. Unfortunately, we only have Bush. To paraphrase Rumsfeld, you don't go to war with the President you wish you had, you go to war with the President you have. Iran has declared war on America in 1979 and they have been attacking us ever since. Why wait until they have nukes?
