Fairway's Foie Gras Sign Irks Upper West Side Activists

Submitted by Tibor Csipan, Feb 2, 2007 10:04

This case shows how uninformed the zealot activistst are almost in every case they take up. I had grown up in a village among others with hundreds of geese in the yard. Every day when the corn hit the water in the bucket the geese were running and waiting in line until the corn had got soaked enough and my grandmother "force fed" them. The geese without exception were extremely satisfied and demanding the "force feeding". This has been not only a centuries old practice everywhere but it was also observed that migrating geese gorge feed -force feed - themselves before the long filght in the fall to their wintering place. As in most cases zealotry based on ignorance drives here the activists groups who think what they imagine is true. TC
