You are not taking into account the 100's of innocent New Yorkers who were falsely arrested, denied a lawyer, finger printed, photographed and held for more than 24 hrs. in filthy conditions. A majority of the cases have been dismissed, despite the NYPD's illegal attempts to edit film photoage and lie under oath. The system completely broke down, because of all the illegal mass (orange netting) arrests. What the NYPD did during the RNC is deplorable. They tried to keep everyone off the streets until President Bush left town, but that was thwarted when a judge held the city in contempt and fined them until all people were released from jail.
