Arthur is massively confused if he thinks Bloomberg's property tax policy "is typical of the Republican philosophy." Bloomberg is essentially a Republican in name only. Period. This tax policy is driven by the fact that NYC's bloated budget demands a stable and predictable sourse of income and the property tax fits the bill. Complain to your legislatures about the $50+ billion city budget rather than about Republican philosophy.
