A $1.5 Billion Vision For Coney Island
in response to reader comment: Let the building begin!

I lived about two hours from Coney and came down a couple times a year. I now live in the midwest but consider myself forunate to visit now once a year. This idea is both good if it works. Very very bad if this drives out the citizens who frequent the park most. As a visitor I never felt unsave at any time. I know that a community is different when the quiet months of the off season set in. It is just a shame that some who have made a living were forced out. This seems like the trend look for people with bigger wallets to visit but its the many many million of visitors who had smaller budgets who made Coney a destination.
