Any UN troops sent to implement a cease fire will only serve to prevent Israel from going in to Gaza with ground troops to stop the missile attacks of Hamas. Israel's withdrawal from Gaza has only increased their vulnerability to these attacks. While the UN was supposedly patrolling Lebanon, Hezbollah received thousands of sophisiticated missiles from Syria and Iran and used them to attack northern Israel. A truce or hudna to the Muslims is only a chance to stockpile weapons and begin hostilities at a later time. Let us not forget that Hamas was voted into office by Palestinians who knew, better than anyone what their true intentions are. Israel should build its own primitive missiles and launch them back so that the civilian population which voted Hamas into power knows what it is like to be hit.
