The article ends withthe big question. And I don't believe that Mayor Giuliani wants to do the Romney-esque flip-flop on those issues. The fact is that there are enough liberterians or supply-side minded Republicans as well as NeoConservatives for him to win the nomination without the social conservatives. But the question is in the general election, will those social conservatives support him or stay home? And if they stay home, can Mayor Giuliani pick off enough Democrats to offset that loss?
