Mr. Kazimi's article is telling. Unfortunately, what it tells me is that there is a power struggle within our own administration, that is, between the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) and the CIA. Each is posturing to be "right" on this. President Bush is caught in the middle. If he acts on the DIA analysis, then CIA persons will leak their conflicting opinions to a press only too willing to embarrass the President. If he instead acts on the CIA analysis, then the war is a mistake, and his refusal to bring the troops home is foolish and wasteful. Either way, US interests are not served as long as the DIA and CIA continue to skirmish over who is right.
