Democrats Seek To End Secret Union Ballots

Submitted by Michael Cavaliere, Feb 8, 2007 22:16

It is apparent that the Union's efforts to take an honest approach to unionizing doesn't work. Today's workers are much too smart to believe that they need third party representation to address their issues or concerns with their employer - thanks to government regulations. The need for Unions has long since past - look at the declining union membership! The top echelon of the Union have only one true concern -to retain their power base and money tree; therefore, their angle is to use threats, intimidation, empty promises, and, now, buy elected congressional officials to protect their way of life. Considering how long Unions have been around, if they truly had any worthwhile value, then why has their membership declined; why have so many industries suffered as a result of the manner that unions conduct themselves which reduce performance, efficiency, opportunity, and pride. The real objective of most Unions is direct deposit from the union members.

Those members of Congress who support the new bill 'Employee Free Choice Act' will cement their legacy as traitors to the Principles of our Founding Fathers and need to look in the mirror andrealize what they are either supporting or championing. Either they are obligated to support this bill to pay their debt to the Union for all of the campaign money they received or they are inept and don't deserve their title or the privilege of serving the American People.
