We Scots-Irish came to the Colonies in the 1600s to avoid brutal conflicts with Irish Catholics. We fought, sacrificed and died for our cherished First Amendment rights. We founded America. There was not a Catholic Church in our country when we founded it. In fact, Thomas Jefferson's concern about the Catholics prompted the Constitutional "Separation of Church and State"!
England asserted during the Irish potato famine, "These potato people have no morals, we don't know what to do with them". Much to our chagrin, they followed us to America.
So if the insidious Mr. Donohue is too fragile for our cherished First Amendment, perhaps a Catholic Country could accommodate him - Ireland, Haiti, Mexico, etc. Bon Voyage!
Chagrined,
M. Delphia Block
