Democrats Seek To End Secret Union Ballots

Those of you who want to slam any attempt to equally distribute wealth in this country believe that some people are here to serve the wealthy, and deserve to be treated like peasants. A main argument in this class war is that individuals who want to earn better wages should get a college degree to better themselves; that professional employees have bargaining leverage because of their skills. I just have a few questions for the pro-capitalists, who will produce? who will service? who will build? I'll tell you who, people with degrees in fields where the job market is saturated. A capitalist society cannot function with too many chiefs and not enouph indians!! That's not the way it works. Give the working class the respect and wealth they deserve, and quit bashing the unions that advocate fair distribution.

Yes, we do have laws that now protect workers, OSHA, ADEA, ADA and the FMLA all support workers' intrests and were all passed by the Union backed Democrats, and strongly opposed by Republicans and thier most powerful lobbies----big business. If you think for a moment that these significant pieces of legislation aren't constantly under attack by the pro-capitalist Rpublicans and protected by the pro-worker Democrats, your kidding yourselves. Granted, both side go too far at times, but don't be an advocate for a one sided ideology (social darwinism) which supports reducing the working class to a peasant class.

If unions are further marginalized by the captalist system, we will see an even larger gap between the working class and the capitalist class. A market based approach to wages and working conditions is not influenced by the dire reality of the human condition (poverty, work place injuries....). Give the Workers what they deserve, an avenue to collectively stand against assualts on their basic human rights and a fair distribution of wealth. Support the Employee Free Choice Act, it will do exactly what it says.
