to quote Ellen Melchioni of the Insurance Association "They don't save lives, they save desks and property": well most companies have computer systems on those desk even at today's lower cost of computer cost arond $500.00 each.Next there most likely paperwork with waterbased inks what is the cost of lost paperwork ie oders for product sales. Now look at a medical office with all of it's equipment. A denist office with x ray equipment. an egineering compay with it's cad system ,and building blue prints. All the many companies over the years the fire patrol has saved equipment and stock..Ask these companies if it is worth the cost.. Ask the insurance companies who saved on paying out larger claims . In a couple years down the road when insurance rates go up cause increase pay out for fire, smoke, and water damage
