High Expectations Surround School Due to Open in Harlem

Submitted by Jill, Nov 7, 2006 22:55

Even to the name, the concept sounds like the specialized school called High School for Math, Science and Engineering at City College. I think there is a lack of screened general education schools similar to The Beacon School. The focus of so many of the screened high schools are so targeted that there is very little choice for the smart student who might want to explore many subjects in a quality environment with strong science and English/History departments..
