Thank you for your article. There are four shelters in my town for the homeless. Safe shelter, clean clothes, food, and warmth, are offered. Many won't avail themselves of it. They reek of alcohol, panhandle and go hungry. Most of these are mentally ill., and need medicine, food, shelter. I think we need to recognize that and do for them what they can't do for themselves, forcibly if necessary. It is a crime to do otherwise. Bianca Cox
