While few physicians are as hurting as the one making $20,000, and why does not make sense. If they do surgery one day a week, then they are a surgen, and if they are nto doing surgery 3 days, there is a reason, reputation, poor referrals sources, other issues.
However the plight of the physician is real, especially in primary care. Medicare is not as bleak as described for primary care as the new rates for evaluaitn and management codes, which represent some 90% of the primary care physician services are going up. The cuts are in radiology, and in proceedures. Big cuts in radiology.
