Christian Leader: Romney's Mormon Faith Could Hinder Presidential Bid

Based on my thirty years of seeing the Mormons' religious intolerance and persecution of non-Mormons, especially dissenters of Mormonism generally, indeed Mitt Romney's Mormon church membership will obstruct his campaign to win the U.S. presidency. Worsening this is the Mormons' mixing of church matters, always arrogantly done with a hard-nosed aggressive approach as if to let non-Mormons know who's in charge in Utah to wit the Mormons and their political arm of the Mormon religion, with state governance.

The top religious leader of Mormonism, who is this church's president Gordon Hinckley, gives the political operatives of Mormon church politics a free-weilding heavy hand. Those operatives who are the Mormon church's lobbyists/lawyers David McConkie and his relative Oscar et al of their law firm Kirton & McConkie extend their long reach into every facet of life in Utah.

At some point this will become an issue Mitt Romney must address. He will ultimately be compelled to also talk on the subject of Mormonist factions and splinter groups created by the delegation of elected politicians to Washington from Utah.

These Mormon church politicians include both U.S. senators Orrin Hatch and Bob Bennett respectively along with House Representatives Chris Cannon and Rob Bishop and the HHS secretary Mike Leavitt (who furtively left in the middle of his Utah governorship to go to Washington and become a federal bureaucrat) all of whom collectively act as a block of delegates that to date has devoted years spending huge amounts of money, time, and energy plotting--in conjunction with the Mormon church's other political operatives David McConkie et al along with the Mormon church's religious leaders like its president Gordon Hinckley--the Mormon path to the white house which Mitt Romney eventually will need to explain. In other words Mitt Romney must be called upon to explain whether he's a tool of Mormon church leaders like its president Gordon Hinckley and those operatives of the Mormon church's political machine such as David McConkie et al to over-throw Wasington and stack all the federal agencies with Mormons and disenfranchise non-Mormons. So too this deeply troubling possibility falls to Mitt Romney to answer for because such a political faction could mean the beginning of the end of our Constitutional Republic as established by our Founding Fathers of whom George Washington warned in his Farewell Address in 1797 about the destruction factionalism could bring to our republic of the United States of America.

Additionally our Founding Father James Madison spoke to the issue of mixing church and state. James Madison said "...that religion and Government will both exist...greater...the less they are mixed..." of which his words are as meaningful now as they were then when this giant among our Founders first said them.

Even so I still must disclose the prejudice with which applicants for state public aid such as food stamps are treated. In other words such applicants for state public aid are required to obtain approval from the Mormon church, by a local church bishop in the area of the applicant's residency supplying a voucher to the applicant to take to the state public assistance office to prove elibibility, before the requested aid is provided. If such approval is not sought by such an applicant or disqualification is the decision of the Mormon church through its bishop, presiding in the area where the applicant lives, then the applicant not only is denied but may be forced hence to go hungry and/or be homeless.

These prejudiced outcomes, of applicants for state aid being decided by the Mormon church, not only constitute egregious violations of applicants' civil rights but also amount to religious persecution. Since the church's delegates of the local bishops execute these church discriminatory policies not only on behalf of the Mormon church but specifically David McConkie et al who segregates the Mormons from non-Mormons and therefore target prospective converts by this method, who always try to pressure individuals to become Mormon, then this also constitutes religious intolerance.

Diversity of Utah's citizens come from many walks of life to hear the Mormon church political operatives David McConkie et al detail this matter, of the Beehive state's social variation, but in fact he (David McConkie) et al including this church's religious leader Gordon Hinckley know that the people to whom they refer all are Mormon and for this reason no such diversity exists in Utah. David McConkie knows this, and so does the Mormon church president Gordon Hinckley, but they all play pretend that Utah is a happy valley when in fact the people who comprise Utah's subordinate cultures are deeply polarized because David McConkie et al is/are divisive. Mitt Romney will have to explain if he'll legalize such religious discriminatory and prejudicial treatment of non-Mormons.

The first decade after I was divorced in Utah the Mormon church followed me to each new place whenever I moved which was done by the Mormon church's operative David McConkie tracking me, to each new residence, then sending Mormon church missionaries to my new place. Not only did this constitute stalking and harassment by the Mormon church, by David McConkie et al, but obviously it also was and remains religious persecution which I'd be interested to know if Mitt Romney will allow the Mormon church to continue these criminal practices.

Many others who are similarly situated as myself don't intend to let Mitt Romney ride in on his Mormonism. This is especially true if Mitt Romney joins forces with the Mormon faction, already in Washington that's comprised of the five Mormon politicians previously named, and takes money from these Mormon politicians and also from the Mormon church's political operatives like David McConkie and this church's president Gordon Hinckley.

Thanks,
