Fossella and King Beat Back Strong Democratic Challenges

Submitted by wysteria, Nov 8, 2006 11:03

While the national Democrats and the Brooklyn Democratic machine pretty much ignored Harrison, there were some people who put their boots on the ground. The very progressive members of CBID and readers of DailyKos showed up in force to fight for a very moderate Democrat. Harrison was wildly outspent, and he had almost no experience as a candidate, and the fact that he did better than Barbaro is extemely impressive. But the regular Dems were asleep, and they should thank the reformers for doing their work.
