Mr. Ivry neglects to mention two important pioneer theremin virtuosi.

One was Lucie Bigelow Dodge Rosen, who, with her husband, created Caramoor.

Another was Rosalyn Tureck, the pianist, harpsichordist, and clavichordist universally remembered as one of the greatest Bach interpreters of all time.
