Clinton Sets Health Care as Key Issue

Submitted by Michael Townes Watson, Feb 15, 2007 16:56

Senator Clinton and Senator Obama co-sponsored a bill last session entitled the National Medic Act, which was a very thoughtful method of bringing together efforts to help the healthcare community in its efforts to raise quality, while preserving the right of those who are hurt to seek access to the justice system. These efforts went unnoticed by many, but should serve as a model to help patients in two ways, by raising healthcare standards and guaranteeing access to the justice system when healthcare quality suffers.
