Clinton Sets Health Care as Key Issue

Submitted by James, Feb 16, 2007 09:01

Note, dear readers, that there are significant differences between Clinton Health Reform II and the original Clinton Health Reform. The original Clintoncare of 1993 and 1994 required most Americans to join mandatory insurance cooperatives, something that is completely absent from the version of Clintoncare of 2007 and 2008. Clintoncare I (1993 edition) required private employers to directly pay for health insurance, something that has NOT so far appeared with the Clintoncare II (current version). A leading plank of Clintocare II is the expansion of a current government, joint federal-state program called the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). CHIP was first established in 1997 by then-President Bill Clinton along with an opposition-party-controlled Congress.
