Lieberman's Re-Election Is A Reaffirmation of Centrism

Submitted by al gilbert, Nov 8, 2006 20:41

When Joe Lieberman ran as vice president and didn't give up his seat as senator, it was a slap in the face to Al Gore. And when Joe Lieberman lost the Democratic primary and jumped parties, it's was a slap in the face to every Democrat. The only reason Lieberman won in 2006, after being a major cheerleader for an unpopular war, was that he galvinized the CT Republicans to stick it to the CT Democrates. In a Democratic year. He got 71% of the Republican vote and shamelessly still, touts himself as a Democrat!
