Robert Adler, 93, Invented TV Remote

My hat is off to Dr. Robert Adler for inventing the remote control television device and the touch screen and other similar inventions. May he rest in peace. Although he may have thought it an accident of fate that the remote control became such a popular item, it seems looking back that it was a logical very needed invention for the time and our times too and a practical solution for those who needed to turn the sound off on the television screen not just to get rid of the deafening sound of commercials but also to be able to hear others when they are talking or when they are calling on the phone or knocking on the door. Adler sounded like an insightful kind of guy.
