Without a doubt, 'The Queen' is a brilliant movie for anyone who lived through the Diana-glitz decade, was seduced by her beauty and knocked-over by her sudden death. She was like a Medieval heroin on which a mist of legend descends to cover the actual historical personality.
The movie is brilliant for it's balance in presenting this. Oddly out of place is the slaughter of the magnificent stag on the Queens range which even more oddly she sends her compliments on the kill to the shooter of tis heroic animal. Parallel with Diana? Peculiarly placed. Parallel with the Queen? Even odder. I can't help but think that Blair will get a kinghthood. He should have for the way he handled and defended the Queen during this incident. This waa one of those films in which news film footage was flawlessly melded with the film.
