U.N. Indecision on Iran Leaves Bush With Tough Choices

Submitted by Coop, Nov 9, 2006 19:54

History will not forgive us nor would world stability survive the global conflict that would arise should the United States fail to prevent the development of deployable nuclear weapons by the Iranians . As critical time has already elapsed , proliferation by Russian , Chinese , North Korean and other weapons proliferators for strategic resource and counterbalencing alliances has seriously raised the deterent factor and U.S post-strike analysis on Iran's counter-strike capability and because of Iran's support and proliferation to non-state actors , has risen the post-strike capability of Iran's proxy alliances with globally dispersed hezzbollah cells as well as Iranian intelligence operatives in numerous foreign diplomatic missions . TIME IS RUNNING OUT. The choices are indeed limited and tough ones to make but so are the options. Why it is not clear from a historical perspective that extremist regiemes will not negotiate their ideologies in favor of nations opinions and favor ... was not the deal with the Viking raiders and the french city leaders , as well as the debated proposed deal with England and Germany prior to WW2 or prehapes the agreement that the North koreans and our allies signed which ensured that North korea's nuclear program had ended ....all mistakes and strategic blunders ? Have people totally forgotten the lessons of WW2 about the rise of an extremist culture with views of world domination while they modernize and expand their military capabilities ? Winston Churchill's 1930's speech has a very erie reminder of how vunerable our modern culture and civilized societies are to these barbaric extremist and even more of a reminder of how they were allowed to get that way .. people should listen to that speech if they are in doubt .
