Turkey Up in Arms Over House Resolution Against Armenian ‘Genocide'
in response to reader comment: So called Armenian Genocide

Submitted by The Truth, Feb 22, 2007 13:03

Most Western historians agree the genocide happened. Last year, the International Association of Genocide Scholars wrote to Turkey's prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, about it, concluding: "We believe that it is clearly in the interest of the Turkish people and their future as a proud and equal participant in international, democratic discourse to acknowledge the responsibility of a previous government for the genocide of the Armenian people, just as the German government and people have done in the case of the Holocaust."

The Armenian Genocide is a Fact. The idea that Armenians killed an equal number of turks is pure Turkish fabrication. There are countless pages written about the Armenian genocide in our own U.S. national archives as well as those all over the world. The only reason it isn't fully recognized in the U.S , is not because the U.S beleives it didn't happen but rather, the U.S likes to have a military and political foot print in the region but unfortuanatly the absurd threats recieved by the so-called "turkish ally", if such a truth was actually recognized, stops short the eventual recognition,

Turkey is no ally . Turkey is a paid thug. This "ally" wanted 36 Billion dollars to allow the U.S. the use of it's air and land space during the initial days of the Iraq war. When we didn't pay they refuse our troops. It was turkey that personally invited the leaders of Hamas for a welcoming after the Palestinian Elections. It is turkey whose minorities have no rights . In turkey , just saying the truth can get you killed. (ex: Hrant Dink) It is in turkey where anti-semitism is rampid. It is turkey that wants to destabilize Iraq by invading the North to kill the Kurds and steal their oil fields.

It is also Turkey that is still willing and capable of commiting the worst crimes. Genocide! The only way to stop this is to have clarity and to finally do the right thing. Recognize the ARENIAN GENOCIDE so this doesn't happen again!
