The extreme nature of the cost of living in Manhattan is not just relegated to the landlord's fees. Cheap Bastard, let's see what happens to your snobbish attitude after you pay your NYSC membership, monthly parking for your Passat, and after shelling out $8 for a beer in Chelsea.

In all honesty, while you may be right about not everyone being entitled to prime Manhattan real estate, what will happen to your precious island's famed diversity and uniqueness once the only people who can afford to live there are cookie-cutter trust fund babies?

I'd love to see the yuppie turnout at Gay Pride or San Gennaro, and I'm sure that street vendor falafel made by a Wharton graduate would be just delectable.
